Chemical Engineering Computational Techniques II - CPT3701

Advanced Diploma Year module NQF level: 7 Credits: 12
Module presented in English Module presented online
Co-requisite: MAT3700
Purpose: The purposse of this module is to equip the student with numerical techniques so that s/he can select and apply them to solve broadly defined Chemical Engineering problems for which analytical solutions are not possible. Students will also learn how to implement these techniques using computer software. This module is part of the Advanced Diploma in Chemical Engineering. By completing this module the student will be able to use and select appropriate techniques for the prediction and modeling of broadly-defined Chemical engineering problems, with an understanding of the error introduced into such a solution because it is a numerical approximation rather than an exact analytical solution.
