Purpose: This module aims at laying a strong biblical foundation for social ethics by selecting biblical themes and topics. These topics will be analysed as to how they were treated in the Bible, by the Church Fathers, the Reformers, the Roman Catholic Church, and World Council of Churches. In addition, there will be a strong motivation for studying ethics as an interdisciplinary discipline as well as contextualising ethics in Africa.
