Purpose: Students gain a deeper conceptual understanding of South African Law, and in particular South African Environmental Law and Law Enforcement. Students credited with this module are able to apply and discuss the history and development of environmental law, apply basic environmental law enforcement techniques and become familiar with the South African court processes and procedures. Students will gain a fundamental knowledge of legislation as it relates to the general administration and management of protected areas.
