Conservation Ecology II - CEC2601

Pre-requisite: CEC1501 or CEC131S
Purpose: Students will be able to identify both inter- and intra- specific relationships between species and describe the factors that influence population dynamics; describe the ecological characteristics of populations, as well as how energy flows through them; explain the ecology of succession in different ecosystems; identify the various climatic factors and different regions in southern Africa; compile climate diagrams and explain their importance in nature conservation management. Students registering for this module are required to have regular access to a computer and the internet in order to download or read essential study material from the myUnisa module site and the world wide web. This module will be presented online, and no study material will be posted for this module.
