| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to enable students to have knowledge and insight of corrections and care within corrections environment. This module will also provide students with insights into the role and responsibilities of correctional officials when dealing with the physical, emotional and mental well-being of incarcerated offenders. Students credited with this module will have the ability to evaluate behavioural changes of offenders after they undergone specialised rehabilitation programmes. These achieving students will be able to understand the foundations of admission and the release of offenders in correctional centres. |
