Pre-requisite: TRT1502 or DTM1503
Purpose: This module introduces students to cultural tourism as a niche area of specialisation and it also provides the students with a framework of knowledge for application and analysing the complexity of cultural tourism. Students are expected to gain a detailed knowledge of important terms, concepts, principles, and theories of cultural tourism. Qualifying students will be expected to demonstrate competence to certain attributes which includes sound understanding of concepts and terms, critical analysis of cases within the subject matter, and application & give an opinion within cultural tourism context. Furthermore, students should be able to apply the learned methods and procedures, demonstrate ability to interpret cultural tourism case studies, demonstrate competence in searching information and cite information as per CEMS reference guide and demonstrate time management, act in an ethical and professional manner, display ability to identify and solve a problem, portray skills to manage their own learning and follow instructions. Lastly, this module will capacitate the students with skills and knowledge required for Cultural Tourism II (DTM3605).
