Recommendation: Students should complete SEP3701, SEP3702, SEP3703, SEP3704, SEP3705 and SEP3714 before registering for SEP3708.
Purpose: The purpose of this module is for students to gain a well-rounded and in-depth knowledge, skills and applied competence in the specialised field known as Current Issues in Security. This module includes a specific integrated focus on current issues facing the Private Security Industry in South Africa and globally as well. With the aid of case studies, simulated experiences, theoretical learning and problem-based learning, in a practical work environment aimed at security as a vocational occupation.
