Purpose: This module will deepen the learnings from Early Mathematics (1) and enable qualifying students to possess detailed theoretical and specialised pedagogical knowledge of emergent mathematics in the early years. Furthermore, qualifying students will discuss the relevancy of Ethno-mathematics and how play as a methodology can be used to support emergent mathematics in the early years. Qualifying students will be equipped to plan, prepare and teach early mathematics. |
