| Purpose: The purpose of the module is to develop the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills required for learners to become competent practicing engineering technologists. It is designed also to add value to the qualifying learner in terms of enrichment of the person, status and recognition. Provides advanced knowledge to analyse and solve broadly defined engineering problems in the industrial and technology fields.
At the completion of the module the student will be able to understand and practically apply quality assurance related to industrial engineering and technology principles to broadly defined engineering problems in all industrial, manufacturing and service fields. Also the student will be able to design broadly defined industrial engineering processes and understand the functioning of industrial engineering principles in a manufacturing field.
