Purpose: The entrepreneurship practice module is based on experiential learning. This module provides students with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values on the nature of entrepreneurship and its importance in the global economic development, with greater emphasis on the South African context. Students will apply the theoretical knowledge of entrepreneurship modules, in initiating new businesses, making appropriate decisions and in formulating business plans. Students will engage in research to engage with entrepreneurial core activities and identify and exploit market opportunities. Furthermore, a range of methods and strategies will be explored to profit from an innovation created by entrepreneurs. Finally, the module will enable students to think critically and creatively in solving problems in varied contexts locally, nationally and internationally.
