Facilities Planning and Material Handling - FPM2601

Purpose: Qualifying students will gain basic to intermediate theoretical as well as practical knowledge with regards to facilities layout and material handling. In particular, the student shall be able to; design a high-level production and service facilities layout including but not limited to the production floor as well as the workflow thereof, the supporting facilities- utilities- and departments including ablution facilities, inbound and outbound infrastructure (including warehousing), as well as all facilities material handling equipment, tools, and affiliated technology apparatus.
