| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to introduce students to the contemporary dialogue between science and theology, with particular emphasis on how this impacts on theological and moral questions on the environment. As such the module introduce students to the doctrine of creation by raising the particular questions which contemporary science and growing environmental problems pose to the Christian doctrine of the creation. The module attempt to make students aware of the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue in the study of theology, with a particular emphasis on the theological implications of interdisciplinary dialogue, but also pointing out its importance for ethical questions such as environmental destruction. |
