| Purpose: Students who achieve the outcomes of this module will be able to cultivate fruit, in particular citrus, avocados, bananas, mangoes, pples and grapes. The module is intended for students who work or would like to work in the filed of fruit production, which aling with fruit distribution and consumption is one of the most important economic activities in Africa, as elsewhere in the world. The module intrduces students to key terms, concepts, principles and detailed knowldge involved in the production and management of the relevant crops. Students will also learn about crop establishment, growing methods, crop protection practices and harvesting. |
