Purpose: The module is intended for students who work or would like to work in the field of field crop and vegetable production, which along with crops distribution and consumption is one of the most important economic activities in Africa, as elsewhere in the world. The module introduces students to key terms, concepts, principles and detailed knowledge involved in the production and management of the relevant crops. Students will also learn about crop establishment, growing methods, crop protection practices and harvesting.
