Purpose: The purpose of the module is to empower students with the competencies (knowledge, skills, values and attitudes) necessary to engage in the franchising process. Students who complete the module would be able to pursue franchising as a suitable business option. This module is relevant for evaluation of franchising as an option for small business operations, and for providing advice for prospective franchisors and franchisees on the franchise and legal requirements, social, economic and financial factors to consider in establishing a franchise.
