Purpose: Students credited with this module will be able to critically evaluate how economic thinking has developed over the centuries with references to the main schools of thought including pre-classical, classical, neoclassical, socialist, institutionalist, historical, Keynesian and Chicago school of economics. Students will be able to evaluate current economic ideas and policy proposals in light of a historical awareness and with reference to Sub-Saharan African context.
