Purpose: The purpose of this module is to provide students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to identify and use a range of Horticultural Equipment and tools. Students who complete the module will learn the procedure for operating horticultural equipment safely and appropriately in familiar horticultural settings, in line with the health and safety standards within the relevant mechanical legislative framework. They will also be able to interpret and apply basic measuring techniques and fundamental mechanical law principles. These competencies will provide a strong foundation for further learning and application in the field of horticulture.
