Purpose: This module forms part of the Diploma in Ornamental Horticulture. In completing this module learners will gain exposure to foundational horticultural practices. Learners who have completed this module can identify a range of indigenous and exotic plants commonly found in South African gardens and apply basic propagation and plant maintenance techniques. These skills will provide an essential foundation for further horticultural studies and applications. To pass this module you must attend a compulsory practical workshop.
