Purpose: This module will familiarise students (usually managers and potential managers who will all experience varying HRM issues) with the basic principles and practices of HRM and show them how to manage human resources constructively and strategically in today's business environment to realise the companys goals.
This module intends to develop students in identifying, understanding and applying appropriate HR maintenance and retention practices. Students will be able to implement and support the HR maintenance and retention practices in their work environments with the aim of assessing, developing and retaining the required talent for South African organisations. With these skills students will be competent to support appropriate best practices aimed at the effective maintenance and retention of talent. Students credited with this module can identify and apply HR maintenance and retention principles and methods to support the achievement of HR organisational goals. |
