| Purpose: On completion of the course, the students will be able to: estimate the available hydropower in a project, select and design a suitable types of hydro-power systems, be able to design the penstock, power canal, anchor blocks, draft tube and tail race elements of the system, analyze the different types of loads on power plants and design the component of a tidal power plant. This module is compulsory for the Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Civil Engineering in Water Engineering. |
