| Purpose: This module focuses on the subject of information and computer security within in the context of information security management. Information security is also a management problem and not only a technology concern. The governance and administration of information security is equally important to recognise threats and vulnerabilities to information protection. Information security is no longer the responsibility of the IT department, but all managers and employees in the organisation. In this module our aim is to provide the student with sufficient knowledge to apply information security management, governance, policy development and implementation of models and risk assessment to facilitate the secure operation and effective management of an organisation's information. |
