Purpose: The purpose of the module is to equip students with capability to identify, evaluate, develop and apply policies, principles, processes and control measures to govern the use of information in compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks within organisations. This module contributes towards the professionalisation of archivists and record managers by equipping them with knowledge, competencies and values related to information governance. The students will use these skills, knowledge and values in business, government, civic and other organisational contexts in South Africa, Africa and beyond
