| Purpose: To provide the student with an overview of the pulp and paper industry in South Africa. The overview will cover the history of papermaking, markets and stakeholders, raw materials, pulping and papermaking processes. A discussion on the impact and contribution of the industry to the South African economy is also outlined. | |||
