Purpose: The purpose of this module is to expose students to social work practice guided by the professional code of ethics at the individual, family, group, organisation, and community levels. Students who complete this module will be able to gain self-awareness and demonstrate basic social work knowledge through the completion of activities in a workbook. They will also be able to understand the levels of service delivery and methods of intervention and human diversity. The studentsメ visitation to welfare organisations for 40 hours of observation and voluntary work will enable them to understand the
operationalisation of social work in practice. Furthermore, role plays conducted in small group laboratory settings will facilitate their understanding and skills practice of communication. (No direct practice is conducted in this module. |
