Pre-requisite: CHE1501 (or XHE1501), CHE1502 (or XHE1502) and SSC2601
Purpose: Students completing this module will obtain a broad knowledge and skills base to identify and apply appropriate water harvesting, utilisation and management technologies and strategies for efficient agricultural production for sustainable food security. In particular, this module will be useful to students, agricultural scientists and farmers concerned with water harvesting practices, drainage systems, land use practices, and soil and water management and conservation. The module is also aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills to select and recommend appropriate irrigation methods and equipment for efficient and sustainable crop and plant production, without compromising the integrity of the soil and water systems.
