Purpose: The purpose of this module is to equip students with relevant knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to prepare organisations for sound labour relations, establish a co-operative labour relations environment and manage labour relations in the workplace. Students will acquire an integrated knowledge and understanding of key concepts, processes, and principles related to labour relations practices. Students will be able to interpret and apply relevant South African labour relations policies, legislations and frameworks in analyzing and solving labour related issues in the workplace. Competencies within the field of labour relations practices can lead to improved service delivery, promotion of job creation, workplace justice and job security in the workplace, thereby contributing to the Sustainable Development goals (SDGs). Furthermore, students will also be able to demonstrate Ubuntu by assisting communities with labour related issues, thereby ensuring social and economic transformation
