| Purpose: Students who achieve the outcomes of this module will be able to identify and apply appropriate livestock production technologies and strategies for efficient agricultural production for sustainable food security at farm level and for the development of the local agricultural sector. The module will be useful to students, agricultural scientists and farmers who are interested in livestock breed selection, production, improvement and marketing of live animals and products. The module is aimed at training students to identify appropriate production systems and strategies for efficient livestock production. Students credited with this module will be able to identify, apply and recommend good livestock production practices to emerging livestock farmers according to regional climates. |
