Purpose: Ensuring employee wellbeing, health and safety is a vital component of a successful business. This module focuses on employee health and safety policies and procedures and will equip you with knowledge and skills to develop and maintain employee wellbeing and safety programmes. In addition, it will empower students to plan, implement, and measure a successful employee wellness programme. The module also covers related topics such as stress management, risk management, accidents and hazards, HIV/ AIDS, legal frameworks, substance abuse, and occupational health and safety. Students who complete this module will be able to promote and establish workplace safety, occupational health and hygiene and employee well-being in organisations within the South African context as well as globally.
