| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to allow students to develop competences and skills in the theory, properties and behaviour of engineering materials. It will teach students the theory, structure, properties, behaviour and application of engineering materials in various engineering fields. Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and apply fundamental scientific theories and mathematical formulae to solve simple problems relating to structures of materials.
This module is part of the Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Upon completion of this module student should be gain the competency to identify and evaluate, formulate and solve process related theory and structures of engineering materials.
