Purpose: The purpose of this module is to develop integrated knowledge about the role of mathematics in society, to evaluate different types of knowledge, and to critically reflect on the framework of Productive Pedagogy. Students will be exposed to a variety of teaching approaches, such as cooperative group work, contextual learning problem solving etc., in order to enhance classroom practices and to promote an appreciation of the socio-cultural context of mathematics.
