| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to enable students to apply constructs, theories and models into practice. Students will also become aware of both the basis for decisions and the standards of mechanical engineering components. Furthermore, the students will apply engineering standards to understanding the failure of mechanical components under different loading settings. The students will be able to analyze failure and implement engineering tolerances in design. Finally students will have a design project to apply their understanding of design concepts up to now. |
