| Purpose: The module will be useful to leaders and urban mission practitioners who are working in the globalizing cities of the world. Qualifying students will be able reflect critically on the challenges of globalisation. This will empower them to develop a public theology that plays a prophetic role in the face of ongoing migration and urbanisation. It will enable them to analyse the praxis of mushrooming urban churches and respond creatively to marginalisation, cultural diversity, social media, homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, and other urban challenges. This will enable students to develop relevant missional ecclesiologies and the necessary skills to serve in urban contexts. |
