| Purpose: The purpose of the module is to equip students with the necessary skills, competences, values and attitudes necessary to master fundamental concepts of Afrikaans literature and interpretative skills founded on these concepts. This module is specifically aimed at B.Ed. (Foundation Phase)-students studying as a First Additional Language (FAL). The module covers relevant topics such as poetry for young children, different forms of storytelling and youth literature. These genres are taught at an introductory level by using a variety of accessible texts in Afrikaans. |
