Purpose: The purpose of this module is to equip students with the theoretical and practical knowledge required for the arrangement and description of archival documents. Students will be provided with an understanding of classical and contemporary theories, methodologies, and models for arranging, describing, and providing access to archival materials. The module will also examine the necessary processes leading up to the arrangement and description of archives, namely their acquisition and accessioning.
