| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to ensure effectiveness within the organisational context and that a qualified student is able to select and apply a range of intervention techniques and strategies at the operational and tactical levels in organisations, in commerce and industry, resulting in optimising productivity and the quality of work life. A typical role could be that of a work study practitioner or specialist who has been empowered in the field of work study and is able carry out complete work study investigations and make recommendations for improvements to management. The purpose of the learning is to provide the student with relevant competencies (knowledge, skills, norms and values) in order to interpret and apply the basics of work study. The application of the skills and knowledge of work study will provide the student with the ability to take advantage of the many opportunities in this rapidly developing sector. |
