Purpose: The purpose of this module is to ensure that a qualified student can select and apply a range of intervention techniques and strategies at the operational and tactical levels in organisations, in commerce and industry, resulting in optimising productivity and the quality of work life. A typical role could be that of a manager or an organisational behaviour specialist. It allows the student to identify and learn the competencies necessary for managing people within the organisational context. It speaks to individual behaviour and processes in organisations. It enables the student to gain competencies with regards to managing people towards ensuring effective organisations. Their newly acquired competencies should increase their potential of finding employment in commerce and industry and making a constructive contribution towards the organisational objectives.
