Purpose: Equip students with a basic study into the teaching of Economics and Management Sciences (EMS) as a school subject from Grade 7. Enlarge teacher's capacity and ability to think critically and holistically regarding the educational and economical context. Teach you how to link EMS to real-life situations. Help you gain a better understanding of how learners learn about economics and entrepreneurship. Equip you to apply the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) in the Economics and Management Sciences area. Provide a broad overview of the field of EMS from a pedagogical context knowledge perspective. Help you better understand how to teach EMS within the CAPS framework. Introduce you to some fresh and exciting principles to use in your current teaching practice.
