Purpose: Students who complete this module can gather the necessary information to select suitable plants for specialised uses, including indoor and outdoor settings and large-scale environmental projects. They will be able to justify their selection of plants based on a variety of criteria by conducting a process of plant selection. The process of plant selection involves the collection, evaluation and application of information regarding any type of plant for the purposes of landscaping and garden design, and for specialised uses in indoor and outdoor settings and for particular environments.
