Purpose: The purpose of this module is to introduce the student into understanding the form of caring which is within the context of African communal life, to familiarise the student with the role of the collaboration that exist between the pastoral care givers, community through its leadership and society in facing challenges that relates to issues like: marriage, sickness, death and burials is of special significance in this module. The student are be able to critically evaluate the African contextual care within selected challenges as case studies in light of the role of pastoral work.
