| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to ensure students realize the importance of safety and environmental aspects in the design and operation of chemical plants. Students will be introduced to the concepts and tools that are used to assess and improve the safety and environmental performance of a chemical process. This module is part of the Diploma in Chemical Engineering. Successful completion of this module will allow students to develop competencies required to identify process safety hazards and environmental issues in the chemical industry and implement preventative and corrective measures. | |||
