| Purpose: To create and implement learning opportunities for students to acquire information and skills on the reasons why protection service exist, its philosophical grounds, the environment within which it arises and the institutions that are responsible for providing it. This module is also intended to build capacity around issues such as policy instruments for providing protection, varying protection services types, and unique aspects of managing protection services. The module further contributes to the learning and experiences on problems surrounding the management of role players in protection services during national, provincial and local disasters. |
