Purpose: After completing this module, students will be able to analyse and evaluate public financial management as expressed by public institutions operating at provincial and national level. It will be useful to students who are preparing themselves for a career in public financial management within the public sector. Students will be introduced to important aspects in planning, costing, estimating and prioritising for budgeting. The focus is also on budget preparation, -approval, -implementation, -control and -procedures in the public sector.
