| Purpose: The primary purpose of this module is to obtain an understanding of quality theory and obtain an application of quality management in terms of the three spheres of quality, namely quality control, quality assurance and quality management. This module will clearly explain quality management in terms of conventional quality control and TQM. This implies managing and utilizing the teachings, methods and tools to prevent errors (waste) and improve performance internal to the organisation. Students who complete this module will have the knowledge to apply statistical quality techniques to solve quality-related problems in the workplace. |
