Purpose: Students who successfully complete the module will demonstrate integrated knowledge in research methodology as it applies in the field of information science. The student will be able to identify and interpret different worldviews; adopt and apply appropriate research approaches, designs and research methods to investigate a problem. Students are able to analyse key issues regarding the conduct of research and professional presentation of research findings through scientific methods of inquiry. Qualifying students will also be able to think critically and holistically when dealing with real-life challenges when conducting research through ethical conduct.
