Purpose: The module is part of the BInf-degree. Students who successfully complete this module should display a sound understanding of the key issues regarding the conduct of research and professional presentation of research findings in a variety of contexts. Successful students should display the capacity to interpret, evaluate, judge and apply principles and techniques of a scientific method of inquiry and present data related to that inquiry. Students should also display the ability to engage independently in the research process and present their findings in an academic research report. As part of the report students should display the ability to think critically and holistically when dealing with real-life challenges during the conduct of research and the presentation of findings.
