| Purpose: The objective of this module is to use a hands-on approach to introduce the basic concepts in Robotics. The course focuses on mobile robots and illustrations of their current state of art research and applications. Course theory will be coupled with lab demos. The course will illustrate the importance of integrating sensors, actuators and control, basic control law, the key approaches to mobile robot control (reactive, behaviour-based, and hybrid), kinematics, differential motion, force and briefly discuss robot learning and multi-robot systems. |
