| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to provide mining technicians with an overview and in many cases sufficient knowledge regarding selected rock mechanics applications in mining operations. It is also to equip the technicians with relevant decision-making and problemﾭ solving skills needed in the field of Rock Engineering. The module finally is an introduction to Rock Mechanics II which forms part of the Advanced Diploma in Mining Engineering offered by the University of South Africa. | |||
