Purpose: In this module, Security risk control measures II, you will be introduced to the fundamental theory of security risk control and shown where security risk control fits into the total security risk management model (process). This includes how to search for and identify cost-effective security risk control measures. The module also provides you with a theoretical and practical foundation for developing your security risk control skills and empowers you in performing your protective function (your job) effectively by providing your client or employer with cost-effective solutions to security (crime) risks. This is to ensure that the risk control measures that are implemented deal with specific objectives and be effective. As you advance with your studies, more advanced security risk control (risk mitigation) measures will be dealt with.
