| Purpose: The purpose of this module is to equip students with advanced knowledge about macro social welfare and social work policy within a global, regional and local context while upholding the basic values enshrined in the Bill of Rights in the South African Constitution. Qualifying students will assess and critically appraise development challenges globally, continentally, regionally and nationally in relation to appropriate policies around different social issues as well as the influence and implementation of macro policy on social welfare and service delivery. |
