Purpose: of this module is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to manage soil fertility and plant nutrition Students who complete this module will be able to define, describe, discuss and evaluate soil fertility concepts, plant nutrient interactions, soil organic matter, soil fertility evaluation, soil fertility management practices, plant absorption of nutrients, factors affecting plant nutrients absorption soil and fertility determinants. They will be able to apply appropriate nutrient management practices to different types of soils and plants. They will also be able to carry out soil sampling, interpret soil analysis results from the recommendations; and understand plant absorption of nutrients and factors affecting absorption of plant nutrients. |
