Module presented in English Module presented online
Purpose: The module focuses on the development of pedagogical content knowledge related to Science, Environment and Society as part of the Senior Phase in Natural Science Education. It specifically deals with how to teach and assess the school curriculum more effectively by using an appropriate range of strategies to enhance learner engagement in diverse contexts. This focus will add value to both Bachelors in Education (BEd) and Advanced Certificate in Teaching (ACT) graduates whose previous studies will have focused much more on the development of the teachers' subject content knowledge in cognate disciplinary fields. The module will provide students with the link between science, society, technology and the environment.
